Wilder Restaurant Wedding Philadelphia

Restaurant Wedding in Philadelphia

This Wilder restaurant wedding in Philadelphia was so much fun! I love it when couples choose a restaurant as their wedding venue, especially when it’s stylish and delicious! This couple picked one of their favorite Philadelphia restaurants, Wilder, for their ceremony and reception. It’s nice when you can do both your wedding ceremony and reception in the same place, especially when you are in the middle of the city. They did a full restaurant buyout, and the space was all theirs for their wedding day. They had a well-thought-out flow for their day: first, they welcomed guests with drinks and small bites. I mean, isn’t that how you always want to be greeted with a tasty treat and a beverage? Next, it was everyone upstairs for an intimate wedding ceremony that moved their guests to tears. Their ceremony had a unique aspect as guests were invited to share some personal words and reflections, and they were heartfelt and moving. Next, it was back downstairs for a cocktail hour. After their first dance and parent dances, it was time for a seated dinner, and the food was a delight!

Getting Wedding Ready at the Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square

The couple chose the Sofitel in Philadelphia as their home base for their wedding day. It is where they both got ready and was the ideal location as it was just a block or two from Rittenhouse Square and a block or two from their restaurant wedding venue. Convenience is key for a smooth wedding day! Thinking ahead about all the moving parts and about the different locations helps the day flow nicely as their day did. The flowers were all made by the bride’s sister-in-law, and she really did a phenomenal job with interesting colors and textures, and even feathers. For a fall wedding, I like the idea of dried flowers, then you can always keep your wedding bouquet!

Fall Wedding Colors

What a fun choice for a color palette for this fall wedding in Philadelphia. The soft jewel tones of golds, greens, and pinks were a lovely combination.

Wedding Photos At Rittenhouse Square

Rittenhouse Square Park was the perfect place for their wedding photos. Just a quick walk out the door of their hotel, this classic Philadelphia location was still full of greenery for this early fall wedding. We were able to do 30 minutes of photos of the two of them outside before walking over to their venue for their ceremony.

Sparkly Wedding Dress

And can we just have a moment for this sparklely wedding dress! I love the combination of playfulness and glam. You don’t have to be shy about showing your personal style and having a little fun on your wedding day. This, of course, for any part of your wedding day, don’t be shy in doing it your way. I understand and appreciate the importance of traditions and how special that can be on a wedding day, but weaving in a little bit of a surprise can also be an option if that speaks to you. And in case you were wondering, the bride’s hair and makeup were both by Natural State

Wilder Restaurant Wedding Philadelphia: The Ceremony

The ceremony was on the second floor of the restaurant, and it felt intimate and cozy. When the bride walked down the aisle, she surprised everyone when she burst into a choreographed dance routine! I love it when couples add fun and levity to their day. The way the guests cheered and smiled was magical and seemed to bring everyone together. The ceremony really hit all the notes from tears to laughter and palpable love throughout.

Inscence bar Wedding Favors

An Inscence bar for guests to select from as their wedding favors was such a clever idea! They even had incense holders and customized wooden matches that friends and family could take with them. Thinking outside of the box with favors will allow you to come up with your own ideas that are personal to you. Think about something you would want to take home from a wedding day.

Wilder Restaurant Wedding Philadelphia

Wilder is a delicious restaurant in Center City, Philadelphia. Brett Naylor and Nicole Barrick, a husband and wife duo, created this 3-story 150-seat restaurant and bar. The space is unique, funky, and stylish. It is decorated with rugs on the walls, bright colors, cool tiled floors, and there is even sidewalk seating for the warmer weather. The big neon sign will catch your eye as you walk down Sansom Street, but you will remember it the restaurant for the well-executed seasonal menu items, including handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and raw bar. If you are intrigued, I encourage you to check it out for a happy hour where they offer selections from their menu along with Cocktails, draft beers, and wines. Their bar area is super cute too!

Wedding Day First Dance

It was nice that there was space for a dance floor, and the bride and groom were able to share their first dance with their guests as their witnesses, followed by parent dances. Restaurant weddings don’t always have room for dancing since they are often set up for maximizing table space more than event space. I appreciate that Wilder Restaurant has the flexibility to open up a dance floor for these special moments. The dances are always so sweet.

Wilder

The food was definitely a highlight, and it seemed to just keep coming and coming! From the house-made salads and wood-fired pizza to the impressive dessert selections, everyone left full and satisfied from all the flavors. Choosing a restaurant for your wedding allows you to give your guests a food experience that you may not be able to offer otherwise. This Wilder restaurant wedding in Philadelphia was the ideal place to host this wedding day.
