Anne & Matt had a lovely restaurant wedding reception in Philadelphia at the beautiful and unique La Peg!
The couple got ready at Philadelphia Marriott Old City and had their wedding ceremony there too. I love Anne’s stunning BHLDN dress and the soft color pallet of her bridal bouquet.
Anne shares a bit about some of the meaningful ways she incorporated traditions and family into her wedding day:
“We didn’t do much in the way of DIY, but it’s meaningful to us that our wedding party (bridesmaids, groomsmen, ring bearers, and flower girl) is made up of our siblings, their spouses, and our nephews and niece. Our wedding truly feels like a celebration of family. I also did the “something old, new, borrowed, and blue” tradition. A piece of my mom’s wedding veil tied around my bouquet as my “something old,” and her pearl earrings are my “something borrowed.” A piece of the blue yarn that my mom used to crochet my nephew’s baby blanket is sewed to the inside of my dress.”
The Merchant Exchange is a historic landmark built in the 1800s in the Greek Revival style. It a just across the street from their hotel and makes a wonderful stop for photos!
Anne shares how they came to choose Fringe Bar as their reception venue:
“Matt and I knew we wanted a smaller wedding with an intimate dinner party feel, so it made sense to look at restaurant venues for our wedding. Fringe Bar is also special to us because we went there the night we got engaged! Matt proposed right across the street at Race Street Pier, and we went to Fringe Bar to celebrate with dinner and drinks after calling our families to share the exciting news.”
“Pace yourself and do as much as you can in advance to avoid last-minute stress. Other than that, just enjoy the experience of getting to plan a day to celebrate your love for each other and the start of your marriage. It’s fun to think about what that day will look like and then see it all come together.”

These photos are beautiful and what a fun wedding venue!
My first time shooting a wedding here and I hope it’s not my last – it was so much fun!
Beautiful photos! I’ve never seen a wedding at La Peg before, but it looks like an amazing wedding venue!
La Peg is such a fun and versatile venue with and industrial feel inside and amazing Philadelphia views!
Her dress is gorgeous and she reminds me of a ballerina in it! That nighttime bridge shot is everything!
You can’t beat Benjamin Franklin bridge views at night! I love how they light it up. The bride’s BHLDN dress is perfect!
What a cool couple! Who doesn’t love a dinner party style reception. I love when people choose what’s meaningful and “them” over what’s expected.
Agreed! La Peg is such a unique Philadelphia wedding venue!
