Tela’s Market & Kitchen Wedding Philadelphia

This couple had their intimate wedding right in their own neighborhood and planned the whole thing in just a few months! Tela’s Market is a Fairmount favorite, serving locally sourced breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Danielle and Rob were able to use this versatile space for both their ceremony and reception. When asked how they choose their location, the bride shared: “Tela’s is a few blocks from our house… the hanging lights are my favorite!” I love that they were able to get married just a few blocks from their home and keep everything local. To further support their neighborhood businesses, the bride got her hair and make-up done at the salon directly across the street from their house, Sulimay,  and they used the florist that is right on their block, Plants, Etc.

Wedding Photos at The Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has iconic views of the city from the top of the steps. Danielle and Rob got some classic Philly photos for their wedding day.

How They Met

“A friend introduced us and we started dating a few months before COVID shut down the world. Rob opted to stay at my place, thinking everything would go back to normal quickly. We passed the test of living together – we survived the lockdown and still want to spend time with one another! We wanted a short engagement and an intimate wedding with fifty of our closest friends and family. My niece, 3, flower girl, and nephew, 8, ring bearer, were the cutest – they stole the show! The wedding was simple, reflected our personalities, and had live music, great hor’s d’oeuvres, and lots of alcohol and laughs!”

Couple’s Review

We were so pleased with Heidi and her work! Heidi was very accommodating – she listened to what was important to us and helped us put a timeline together to ensure we got the pictures we wanted with just the two of us, family and friends. The photos turned out great! She allowed us to enjoy ourselves while she continued to capture the day. We would highly recommend her!
