The Manor House at Prophecy Creek Engagement Session

Prophecy Creek Engagement Session

Fall is such a popular time for engagement photos, and I understand why. The cool air and the beautiful colors of the leaves make it appealing! What’s your favorite season for photos?

Danielle and Eriq picked The Manor House at Prophecy Creek for their session, and I loved their choice. This location in Ambler, PA, has a variety of beautiful outdoor options. The Manor House is actually a wedding venue that is situated in Prophecy Creek Park, which is open to the public park so it can be a great option for a couple’s photo session.

There are fields of tall grass, trees, a bold red barn, wooden fences, and many more interesting and picturesque spots on the property. Everything is within close walking distance, which allows you to make the most of your photos. With one location, you can get a lot of different looks and a variety of photos. We were lucky to have some colorful autumn foliage, and what a lovely day for their photos!

Prophecy Creek Engagement Session

I can’t get enough of these fall colors in their engagement session. The bright yellows and reds really set the stage for beautiful couples’ photos. This time of year only lasts a short time so being able to capture some of its beauty is always fun. Danielle and Eriq walked along the trails and laughed, and enjoyed their time with each other exploring the park. Engagement sessions not only preserve memories, but they also make memories! I love the rustic look of the worn wooden fence along the paved path, it was perfect for the couple to lean against. This fence was actually right next to the parking lot. Sometimes places like this can be overlooked, but from the right angles they can become magical.

How They Met

It is always fun to hear the couple’s story of how they met and what led them to this day. Here is theirs:

“We met in middle school and became high school sweethearts after beginning to date our junior year of high school. We’ve grown as individuals and a couple during this time and have always been each other’s best friends and biggest supporters.”
High school sweethearts – I just love this! What a sweet story and I was so happy to take photos for their engagement session.

The Proposal

“Eriq worked with Rosnov Jewelers of Jenkintown to finalize the setting and side stones after he found the center stone. We had looked at rings about a year ago and decided the three-stone was the one for us.
The proposal was very simple because, being together so long (nearly a decade) we already felt the level of commitment of engagement/marriage. We just wanted to make it official.”
Well, it’s official! These two were engaged and ready to be married! Stay tuned because they said their wedding vows right in the same location, Prophecy
Creek State Park, how fun is that!

Stone Bridge at Prophecy Creek Park

I love this stone bridge in the back of Prophesy Creek Park. It was the perfect location for photos at this Manor House at Prophecy Creek Engagement Session. The wooden boards are welcoming and just seem to call you over. The stone bridge is the perfect height to lean against or sit on for cute and dynamic photos. The backdrop of the fall colors is just about perfect! All through the property, there are rustic stone structures, they definitely found a pretty location for their photos.

Fall Engagement Session Outfits

Danielle and Eriq picked the perfect fall looks for their engagement session. Danielle’s tall leather boots and jeans matched with her light sweater and blue scarf. It was warm enough that no one had to bundle up in jackets just yet. Fall in Pennsylvania can run the gamut from warm and sunny to frigid and rainy. We definitely lucked out and got a sunny day. Danielle’s outfit went well with Eriq’s look. Both were comfortable and stylish for their outdoor fall photos.

The tall grass on the edge of the field was appealing for photos, and we headed over to take a look. The grass was almost as tall as the couple and it felt like a cool spot to get some more of the fall colors.

Engagement Ring Detail

When I can, I try to take a detailed photo of the engagement ring. I will ask for the ring to be taken off just for a few moments, and I typically look around for something symbolic of the season or location. I might find a flower or a leaf or a cool fence, or an interesting rock to place it on to give the ring a moment to shine! It seems the symbolic meaning of an engagement ring and its beauty deserves a photo.
