This Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve Proposal was at the impressive 134-acre Pennsylvania preserve, where plant enthusiasts can find 700 of Pennsylvania’s native plants, including 60 species that are rare, threatened, or endangered. What an amazing collection of plants! This special place in New Hope, PA, is a treasure and is open all year round for visitors. You can wander the trails, explore the museum, and shop at the gift shop. There are wooded paths and fields to tour, and the best part is you are completely immersed in nature. It is a welcome respite where you are given the opportunity to learn about and enjoy nature. New Hope, PA, is a quaint town with lots to offer, including eclectic shopping, bountiful food options, a popular theater, and appealing canal views. Pairing a visit to Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve with a lunch in New Hope could make for a delightful outing. Bowman’s Wildflower Preserve can also host special events such as weddings or even be the backdrop for a surprise marriage proposal(which is exactly what this couple did)!
If you decide you would like to have a proposal (or engagement session) at this PA Wildflower Preserve, you will want to fill out a contact form on the Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve website under “events” to find out availability and all the important details to reserve a time and photo permit. The Preserve’s events partner, Open Aire Affairs will get back to you, and you can get started planning your exciting proposal moment! There is a fee to have a photo session at Boemand’s Hill, and it is well worth it as they provide golf cart service to move you efficiently around the grounds to all the best places. The session fee allows you to take photos with a guide, but keep in mind it is still open to the public. When we were there, there were plenty of quiet, beautiful places around the preserve. We had an absolutely fabulous experience, and Open Aire Affairs made it easy, fun, and memorable. When looking for a nature location for your PA proposal, this unique Wildflower Preserve is certainly one to have on your list.
It was so helpful to have their expertise and guidance of the Open Aire Events Team. We toured around the grounds together and some of the favorite places we took photos for this summer surprise marriage proposal were New Pond(where they had their down-on-one-knee proposal moment) and the stone bridge. The stone bridge at Bowman’s Wildflower Preserve was perfect for photos. The stonework and the leading lines were fun to work with. This couple was adventurous and up for anything, so we even explored down along the water and stood at the water’s edge for a few photos with the bridge in the background. I love it when couples are up for going a little bit off the beaten path. We also stopped at the Gazebo, which is tucked away, surrounded by trees. Whether we were riding in the golf cart or walking down the path, this couple was holding hands, smiling, and completely over the moon about being engaged!
Bowman’s Hill seems like a wonderful venue for a wedding for couples who love nature. They have the flexibility to host a micro wedding for small groups and up to 200 guests. The lush greens of the summertime create a welcoming refuge and potentially the ceremony and/or reception for your wedding day.
Choosing a location for a marriage proposal can take time and thought. It is a special moment, and you want it to be in a pretty and meaningful location, and most importantly, a location that will delight the person you are proposing to. Nature locations can range from a city park to a manicured garden to a mountain trail. It could be a bike path you love or the park bench where you drink your coffee together on a summer Sunday morning. PA is full of lovely locations that offer wonderful places for a proposal moment and proposal photos.
How cute is this couple! They chose the perfect summery look for their sunny, gorgeous day to be in nature. The floral pattern on her maxidress dress is perfect for Wildflower Preserve, don’t you think? We had so much fun exploring the grounds together.
Bowman’s Wildflower Preserve can be visited in all four seasons, and each own offers its own delights and displays of nature. Take special note that the open hours may change at different times of year. The spring is a favorite time for a visit as there are many native flowers in bloom. Summer can be vibrant and green, the leave put on a show during fall, and winter brings its own kind of stillness and peace.
I can’t get enough of this beautiful and sparkly engagement ring! I love the organic design and shape of the band. Not only is it the visual style that draws me in, but also the powerful symbols of commitment and love.
