This PA Barn Wedding in the Poconos was so specail! When Alyssa & Erin first saw Memorytown they knew this was the place they wanted to get married. It was filled with Rustic DIY possibilities, which is right up their ally.

First Look

Alyssa and Erin choose to have a first look and do their formal photos before their ceremony. I love the red barn as their backdrop!

How they met

“We first met in 2007 as coworkers. After becoming friends, it was obvious to both of us that there was a connection.  Our first date was on 11.14.07 and the rest is history.”

DIY Boutonniere

Alyssa made Erin’s Boutonniere! She included a fishing lure and feathers to create a unique and personal finished product that fits Erin’s style perfectly!

This Couple Grew their own Flowers for the Wedding day!

When I was talking with Alyssa about her wedding day, she shared a very personal touch that her and Erin would be including. Here is what she shared:

“We are both avid gardeners and have a 25’ x 30’ garden at home. We decided to grow our own flowers for our wedding. Flowers are such a beautiful part of any wedding, but to have started them from seed, and watched them grow over the season, is really something special.”

How amazing is that! They grew their own wedding flowers from seeds! I can only imagine the joy of planting seeds, watching them sprout, then grow and blossom into beautiful flowers to adorn their wedding day. What a perfect metaphor!

Outside Ceremony

How beautiful is their outside ceremony? They tied the knot on the edge of the water under a canopy of of tall trees. They had small bags of lavender for guests to toss as they walked down the aisle.

PA Barn Wedding in the Poconos

The Heritage Barn at Memorytown is just lovely! Alyssa & Erin filled it with their DIY touches and home grown flowers. Even their favors were inline with their garden theme. They gave guests Marigold seeds harvested right from their garden!
