This Rustic Fall Wedding at Memorytown USA was the ideal venue for Amanda and Rolf’s Fall Wedding. They had their ceremony in the small barn and the reception at the Heritage Barn. I adore the blush and shimmer colors and the wonderful mix-matched bridal party dressed!
Rolf took me away for a spontaneous, surprise trip to the Fingerlakes. He had rented a beautiful cabin for us to stay in. Initially, I was pretty sure he was going to propose but after we got through half of the trip and there was no ring–I assumed it wasn’t going to happen. The second day there we went to Letchworth Park (I love hiking). When we were on a bridge looking at the waterfalls, Rolf told me to face the falls so he could get a picture of my back and me gazing at the falls. To be funny, I stuck my butt out obnoxiously far and didn’t realize until I turned around that he was kneeling behind me with a ring out ready to propose (so I stuck my bum in his face). We were both cried. It was great. To celebrate, we decided to keep it casual and get pizza.
When we were searching for a venue we wanted it to be laid back and rustic, a barn setting, and it HAD to give you the option to have a bonfire after the ceremony. Rolf found Memorytown, it was the first place we looked at and I was pretty sure I was going to hate it based on the name. When we got out of the car, though, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. We love the different sites to hold your ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour. The barns are so simple yet stunning, the wine cellar has a cozy and intimate feel to it, and the lake just really ties everything together. I am still obsessed with the fact that all of our friends are going to be staying in cabins around the lake and within walking distance to our wedding and reception- it’s like a big adult camp. I think changing into hoodies and jeans before the bonfire is going to be one of the best parts of the night, outside of saying I do.
