This Philadelphia holiday engagement session was truly a treat! Brooklyn & Vince will be getting married next summer and it was so much fun to get to know these two during their winter session. They picked out some of their favorites neighborhoods and streets for the photo session. The chilly December weather didn’t seem to put a damper on the love and excitement for this couple.
After meeting at Three Bears Park, we strolled down the narrow streets of Old City walking along the blocks of cozy townhouses, many decked out for the holidays with fresh Christmas garlands and and evergreen wreaths. We stopped at American Street for a a few photos and laughs on the brick sidewalks.
Next we wound up at Headhouse square. Headhouse square is the oldest surviving marketplace in the country! I thought perhaps it would already be bustling with a farmers market or event, but we found it quiet. Perhaps it was still a bit too early on this weekend morning for the everyone to be out just yet. We took advantage of having the space to ourselves. I love the pretty string lights that hand playfully inside and the christmas trees wrapped up and ready to be taken into homes.
We doubled back for a quick warm up at Green Line Cafe, sitting for a few minutes on their cool yellow velvet couch while these two sipped on their hot cups of coffee. Always a good idea to duck in somewhere out of the cold for a minutes and this seemed to be a perfect place.
We then took one last loop around the neighborhood admiring the decorations adorning the homes and the streets. This time of year does hold a specail joy and it made this Philadelphia holiday engagement session even more joyful and exciting.
