This Loews Hotel Wedding in Philadelphia was wonderful from start to finish. The location is ideal for city skyline views and offers amazing spaces for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour, and receptions. The hotel can accommodate a range of guest counts making it a versatile venue for big and small weddings. This gathering was a more intimate celebration with under 100 guests. The couple shares how they chose their venue:
“We chose our venue as they were centrally located in the city and able to accommodate indoor flame as part of the Hindu ceremony. We also liked the venue being in the hotel as many guests came from around the world and were able to be close to the venue and events.”
It absolutely makes it convenient for guests when they are able to stay right on sight and just have to walk to their room rather than hop in their car after reception.
We headed down to street level for the bride and groom’s first look. The stairs are actually quite lovely for photos. It was the perfect place to meet and for the couple to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Then we stepped outside right onto Market Street for more couples photos. Philadelphia City Hall is just a few blocks away, so we made sure to stop by for photos there as well.
I always love hearing the couple’s proposal stories and this one sounds pretty amazing!
“Praveen and I met online during COVID. He proposed during a surprise long weekend in New Orleans (one of my favorite places). He told me we were going out to dinner and instead took me to a private airstrip on the outskirts of the city, and we had a helicopter tour of the city at sunset. He proposed in the helicopter over the Mississippi River.”
Sounds like an epic proposal!
The median on Broad Street is a well-known location for wedding photos in the city, especially for couples on their wedding day. We went a few blocks north of Market Street on Broad but you can also go south on Broad St. In both directions, you can get a great view of city hall.
What a view! If you like the skyline view of Philadelphia and want to incorporate these into your wedding day photos, The Loews Hotel has what you are looking for. Not many places in the city can you get such a sweeping view from a hotel window. Such a special location for bride and groom portraits and definitely a must-do location if you are taking photos at the Lowes Hotel.
The bride and groom put together their wedding ceremony to honor their multicultural traditions:
“We took pieces of the traditional South Indian wedding and incorporated flares of Jewish tradition. We had lots of color, food, music, and drinks! We’re focused on fun rather than style and flash.”
Their wedding ceremony was moving, playful and heartfelt. All the guests delighted in the traditions and in celebrating the couple and their love.
Their Loews Hotel wedding reception with colorful and lively! It was on the same floor as the ceremony offering an easy flow for their guests. There was an abundance of delicious food, vibrant decor, lots of laughter, and of course plenty of photos to commemorate the fun!
We were able to go up to the roof of the Loews Hotel for a night photo. I love taking a few couple’s photos on the wedding day during the reception. It is nice to sneak away for some fresh air and a cool photo!
