“Our vibe is probably best described as low-key. We didn’t want anything too fancy or formal. We got getting married at Love Park on Wednesday, followed by lunch in Chinatown, with another smaller dinner from South Philly Barbacoa. Everything was chosen to be laid back, low-stress, and family-oriented. The most important thing to us was to have a ceremony that put our partnership at the forefront. ”
It was a perfect day for this couple and they were able to live out their love-filled, low-key small wedding day dreams right in the center of the city!

The area around City Hall in Philadelphia is such a fun place to take wedding photos. The archways that lead into the courtyard make for some iconic photos and there are many fun vignettes along the outside of this impressive building too. The Broad Street Line subway stop was a cute place for a few couples’ photos on their wedding day.
“We initially met in 9th grade at a friend’s party. We dated throughout some of high school and took about five years apart in college and after–eventually reconnecting. Eli proposed in the Wissahickon. We hiked to the Lover’s Leap lookout where Eli asked the question. Rajni’s ring was her grandmother’s. Before Eli proposed he met with Rajni’s mom and grandmother to see if we could use the ring; they happily agreed. The ring had a jacket which we had removed and a new stone put in, reminiscent of how it originally was in 1949 when Rajni’s Grandfather proposed to her Grandmother. We then used some of the smaller diamonds and gold left over from the jacket to make Rajni’s wedding band.”
How special to have a ring that was passed down through the family!
