This Old Mill Rose Valley wedding venue in Rose Valley, PA is a favorite for couples looking for a romantic setting and lots of greenery. It is easy to fall in love with this location as you seem to get whisked away into its otherworldly charm.
What a breathtaking look for the bride! I adore her dress she chose. Makeup was by The Philly Hair and Makeup Co, and hair was by Brooke Weizier
Her family and bridesmaids were by her side to help her get ready and she arrived to the venue for her first look with the groom looking stylish and wedding day ready.
The outside patio with flowers blooming and lush greenery was a perfect place for bride and groom photos. The Arches framed the couple and made a wonderful backdrop. The stone wall and climbing vines make you feel like you are in an old-world fairy tale. What a dreamy wedding venue in Pennsylvania wedding venue. The Old Mill is situated on a 12-acre wildlife and bird sanctuary, and there is definitely a sense of tranquility and peacefulness on the property. The venue is only about 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia, making it an easy choice for those who want to get married outside of the city.
Not long after we began the wedding party photos the rain started and out came the umbrellas! The inclement weather didn’t get in the way of the photos or the wedding. The rain was on and off and we were able to get all the planned wedding photos despite the weather. Thankfully there is a lovely covered patio area and ceremony space that is used if there is rain and with a few seamless adjustments the day kept flowing beautfully.
The string lights and the covered patio created a warm, dry place for the couple’s ceremony. I love that you can still see the trees and nature, all while staying cozy and dry. The wooden beams and the amazing view of the woods make this ceremony space a wonderful place to exchange your vows. One tip when picking your wedding venue is to ask about a rain plan for your ceremony. Sometimes, couples fall in love with the outside ceremony space, and then, if it rains, they are stuck in a less desirable location. Old Mill Rose Valley has you covered, figuratively and literally! I love that both their inside and outside locations are gorgeous!
The reception space inside was decorated beautifully with peach, white, and green flower arrangements and lovely table settings. The stone on the walls and the wooden vaulted ceilings mirrored the look and feel of the outside ceremony area. With a spacious reception room (that can host up to 200 guests) and a welcoming dancefloor, the stage was set for an evening full of laughter, fun, and dancing!
The Old Mill offers exclusive in-house catering. That is one less thing for you to have to plan for your wedding day. It can add ease and reduce the overwhelm of planning when your venue can offer in-house services to take things off your plate. This allows you to exhale and enjoy your day!
The first dance for the bride and groom warmed up the dance floor and warmed the hearts of all those who witnessed this sweet first. With the wedding party looking on, the couple had their first dance as husband and wife in front of a room full of their friends and family.
Inside the reception room during the first course, the DJ invited up a few special people to say a few words about the bride and groom. Speeches can be such a special part of a celebration, and hearing a funny or touching story about the couple really has a way of bringing the whole room together. The well wishes and cheers kicked off the celebration.
The dancefloor was packed after dinner when everyone got out of their chairs and onto the floor. Everyone was having such a good time, and it was evident in how few people stayed in their seats. The music seemed to keep the party going and lifetime memories were made.
The bride and groom, and I slipped out of the party for a few minutes to get one last couple’s photo as an “end of the night” shot. The covered patio was perfect for this; the string lights and the glowing lanterns made a fun and romantic after-dark photo of the couple.
