A Beautiful Micro Wedding at Race Street Pier

For this Race Street Pier Micro Wedding, the bride and groom chose the beautiful city of Philadelphia. Their day featured photogenic stops at LOVE Park, City Hall and Race Street Pier. I met the couple at LOVE Park to get some photos in before the ceremony began.

LOVE Park is a quintessential Philadelphia landmark. Located on the Ben Franklin Parkway in Center City Philadelphia, the LOVE sign is the perfect place to start photos on a day full of love.

Philadelphia City Hall Wedding Photos

Just across the street from LOVE Park is Philadelphia’s historic City Hall. Its majestic architecture makes it a popular backdrop for wedding photos in downtown Philadelphia.

Making their way Downtown

As the bride and groom prepared to head for Race Street Pier, they had one more location they wanted to hit to get their Philadelphia wedding day photos – Broad Street! Broad street gives you a classic view of Philadelphia city hall.

Race Street Pier Micro Wedding

After their photos in Center City Philadelphia, it was time for the couple to make their way to Old City for their intimate wedding on Race Street Pier. This was a perfect location for this bride and groom because they were able to have their closest loved ones right there with them. There are some really unique locations around the city where you can have a ceremony and this couple definitely found one of my favorites. The pier is a public park that juts out into the River with incredible views. They didn’t need to bring along any fancy decorations because the view itself made the perfect backdrop.

As their families made their way to the pier, they sat on the stairs and had a perfect head-on view of the couple. Being on the edge of the Delaware River allowed all who attended great views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and it made the moment extra special. Once they were seated, it was time for the ceremony!

Views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge

After saying ‘I do’, the couple took a few final photos along Race Street Pier with their guests. They then went off to celebrate with a wonderful family dinner.

I think it’s safe to say that at this Philadelphia summer micro wedding, love was definitely in the air!
