Stephanie and Kevin had an intimate Race Street Pier wedding along the river in Philadelphia. It was early Fall, which often brings prime temperatures for outside weddings. The pier is such a lovely space for gathering. It was my first time photographing a wedding at Race Street Pier and I certainly hope I get the chance to do it again! There is something powerful and soothing about being next to the water, especially for a moment like this. Being outside with the cityscape of Philadelphia and the dramatic lines of the bridge creates a dynamic backdrop and a classic Philadelphia scene. Friends and family gathered together on this sunny afternoon to witness their union and celebrate the rite of passage into a new life together. It was a sweet ceremony and all who were there were moved by the beautiful moment. I loved Stephanie’s look for her day! What a cool dress paired with the bright red shoes(and nails!). The lace top and cap sleeves were so pretty and the dress was the perfect length to show off those shoes. Kevin looked sharp too and complimented Stephanie’s colors with his bright boutonnière and red tie. After the ceremony we explored the area together for couples portraits, finding all kinds of interesting locations. We came across train tracks and a giant turquoise door. Photographing weddings in Philadelphia lends itself to vibrant photos. You just never know what you will find around the next corner. After photos, Stephanie and Kevin joined their families for a late lunch in the city to toast to all the joy and adventure these two are sure to have ahead. It was such a touching ceremony and such a fun afternoon. Stephanie and Kevin exuded love and happiness. I am wishing them a wonderful life together. If their wedding is any indication they are in for a good ride!
