If you are going small for your Philadelphia wedding, one of the venues that I highly recommend is Vaux Studio! It is located right downtown and it is such a special space for an intimate gathering. The visionary and owner of this unique space, Monica, has unmatched style and a warm spirit making Vaux a top wedding day venue for a Philadelphia elopement or micro wedding. I was thrilled to photograph here once again for this sweet intimate celebration for these two beautiful brides.
After their touching vows, we took advantage of the one-of-a-kind space for wedding photos. The ceremony space has an elegant fireplace full of candles, a decorated arch, and irresistible natural light. The front room has an eclectic mix of mirror and wall art perfect for photos and then of course to the winding staircase with its bold black and white tile floor, a must-do for wedding portraits at Vaux.
We then went outside to get a few photos on the streets of Philadelphia. With the classic brick buildings, the bold colored doors, and the cobblestone alleyways there is no shortage of places to stop for photos all within just a few blocks of Vaux Studio.
Here is the love story for these beautiful brides:
“Carissa & I are rekindled Ex’s. I first met her when I was in the Navy & long-distance really didn’t work for us. After maturing and growing we found each other again and its better than anything I could describe. For the proposal, I created a scavenger hunt, created clues for us to go through the city to specific locations and the last one lead us to The Navy Yard where I proposed in front of an old Naval Aircraft Carrier.”
The weather on this wedding day was a little bit questionable and rain was coming. Luckily we were able to get most of the photos done before we needed to pull out the umbrellas!
