Intimate Philadelphia Wedding Ceremony

Sierra & Andrew decided to have a small wedding ceremony at the intimate and stylish Vaux Studio, right in center city Philadelphia. Sierra said “We found the VAUX Studio and fell in love! It was a perfect, intimate wedding space that would allow us to have a more private ceremony that we were looking for. Right around the corner is the DoubleTree, which provided a unique space to host a cocktail style reception and extend the celebration with all of our friends and family.”

What a wonderful idea to keep the ceremony a smaller gathering of loved ones and then open up the reception to more friends and family! Their downtown location made it convent for all who attended and we had great locations for wedding photos.

Sierra & Andrew’s Love Story

Andrew and I lived in the same dorm at Bloomsburg University and met the first month of school. We decided to hang out one night to get to know each other better and both knew there was something special. We started dating in the fall of 2011 and Andrew proposed in front of Carver Hall in the fall of 2017. Bloomsburg will always hold a special place in our hearts!

The DoubleTree is situated right on Broad Street and offered their versatile balcony for Sierra & Andrew’s festivities! What a great venue for their celebration. We even went out on their roof deck once it got dark for an end of night photo.

 

Sierra’s advice to couples planning their wedding:

The hardest part of planning our wedding was to take all of the moving pieces and plan them accordingly. My advice is to find great vendors you trust and vibe with as they will make all the difference in coordinating the many different aspects of your big day! The best part is watching everything come to fruition and feeling comfortable that it will truly be the best day ever.
