This Penn Oaks Golf Club Wedding in West Chester, PA was on a beautiful fall day just when the foliage was bursting with brilliant colors. When I asked the bride how they decided on their venue, this is what she shared:
“I wanted a venue with beautiful scenery and equally beautiful reception/ceremony spaces. We also wanted a venue that would not nickel and dime us, and would not have confusing pricing. One of my best friends researched venues near us and found several, including Penn Oaks. Once we toured, we realized it met all of our “criteria” and then some. In addition to all of the above, the staff was welcoming, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about wedding planning. We were sold!”
Having a helpful and welcoming coordinator can really make your wedding day smooth!
The bride got ready in the bridal suite right on-site at the Penn Oaks Golf Club. I love her sparkly wedding shoes and all the details she incorporated into her wedding day look.
Don’t you just love the groom’s red velvet jacket bow tie?! And the jacket lining matched his pocket square.
They had their first look right out in front of the venue on a shady path. Always an exciting and highly anticipated moment!
The wonderful wedding coordinator graciously took us all around the golf course. Skillfully bringing us to all the best spots and keeping us safe from flying golf balls. The colorful foliage and the backgrounds were beautiful for bride and groom photos.
The wedding ceremony space at Penn Oaks Golf Club is unique and beautiful. There is a spacious tent with a high ceiling that is attached right to the ballroom. Draped with flowing fabric and twinkle lights it is a dreamy setting for a ceremony and you will stay dry in all weather!
The ballroom at Penn Oaks Golf Club is welcoming and easily customized to suit your day. I especially love how this couple decorated their sweetheart table with cascading florals, lots of candles, and custom champagne flutes. Another highlight from their reception was definitely the cake. With impressive white swirling flower design and gold finishing, it almost looked too good to eat!
Here are some tips from the bride for those in the wedding planning process:
“Stay organized and get a wedding planner (as in, a planner book), even if you have a wedding planner (as in, a human planner). I kept to-do lists, appointments, calls, samples etc. all in one place and it really helped me stay on top of everything I wanted to get done. Also, accept help from friends and family. Don’t compromise on your vision to do so, but accepting help will go a long way to help your peace of mind and stress level.”
“Best Photography Experience Ever! (X2!!). We booked Heidi twice. First, she photographed our small ceremony, during which we got married after postponing our wedding due to covid. Second, she photographed our wedding one year later. Both times, Heidi was nothing short of exceptional.
She is very personable, very professional, and very fun to work with! She has an air of relaxed confidence that calmed me on both days. I did not have to worry, because she knew what she was doing, does it very well, and proved adaptable to change. She had not yet done a wedding at my venue, yet, she navigated the space with ease as though she had been there many times before. Heidi is also very efficient. She didn’t miss one photo opportunity, stuck to our preplanned timeline as much as possible, and got absolutely beautiful photos. Her fees were also very reasonable each time, and if you have a budget she has ways to tailor her services to meet that without compromising her quality work. I really can’t recommend her enough. If you have an upcoming event, just book her. You will not be disappointed!!”
