One of the things I love about Philadelphia is all the different neighborhoods. Having your engagement session in the neighborhood you live in can be really sweet!
Meg shares how she and Eric decided on the location for their engagement session photos:
“Our engagement session location was in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. We chose this location because we lived here for 2+ years and made some of our greatest memories here. It has a good representation of both urban and natural feels with the mural walls, “el” tracks, Liberty Lands Park, and tons of bars/restaurants. We also chose to bring a bottle of champagne and the flutes from my parent’s wedding (Meghan’s) to incorporate in the shoot for some nostalgia!”
“We met in December of 2011. I had just come back from studying abroad in London and was meeting Eric’s sister, Amanda, who joined the sorority that I was already a part of. During this meeting, Amanda introduced us. Over the next couple of weeks, we talked more and had our first official date in February of 2012. We have been together ever since!”
“Eric proposed on October 30, 2018 which was a completely random Tuesday after work. We were walking next to the Reedy River in Greenville, South Carolina and went through an open-air pavilion. All of a sudden he turned to me, and had this thoughtful speech prepared. He got on one knee and popped the question! I honestly think I may have blacked out because I was so surprised. My nails weren’t even done! After wiping away the ugly tears, we had a very romantic dinner at Larkin’s on the River. We called our families immediately after, who were all in on the surprise.”
“The most stressful part of wedding planning, so far, has been planning a Philadelphia wedding while living in South Carolina. We really had to do in-depth research via online reviews and put our trust in our vendors. Luckily we just moved back to Northern Liberties!”
“The most fun part of wedding planning, so far, was when we asked our bridesmaids and groomsmen to be in our bridal party. We made personalized asking bags and met with everyone to request their involvement! It was a fun moment to see how excited they were to be a part of our big day. “
