This small Philadelphia Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church wedding was the ideal solution to resizing a big wedding day. Courtney and Ricky were planning a big wedding, but they decided to scale way back due to the pandemic because they did not want to wait to be husband and wife. After they made the decision to scale back, everything worked so smoothly with all their planning and they had the day they were dreaming about!
Courtney and Ricky had their wedding ceremony at their home church. This was very important to them and it made their day that much more meaningful. Taking communion after they said their vows was a special moment for them during the service.
Because their church is so dear to Courtney and Ricky, I am glad we had the chance to take a few couple’s photos inside before heading out to the Wissahickon Valley Park.
Courtney shares a little bit about their love story:
“Ricky is a technician. We met at my parent’s house in July 2015 when he came to see about a problem that we were having with our service. We instantly connected and started to hang out. Ricky proposed on NYE 2019 after we had just come back from eating dinner. We were watching the CNN NYE Special with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen (my fave!) when Ricky turned around, got on his knee, and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him!”
Despite the cold, we were able to go to Wissahickon Park for couples’ photos on their wedding day. It was just a 5-minute drive and made for some beautiful outside portraits on their winter wedding day.
