I met Nicole and Shawn for their farm engagement session at Hellerick’s Family Farm in Doylestown, PA. It was an amazingly beautiful day in late October just before sunset when we arrived at the farm. It was my first time to this location and when we first walked in it was busy with kids and family playing games and picking out pumpkins. We ducked into the corn maze for portraits, then wondered around a bit to see what inspired us. It is a small farm, but lots of cute places for fall themed photos. Nothing says fall more than the leaves changing colors and we found some beautiful trees on the edge of the field. They have a few red barns which made great backdrops for their engagement photos. Although we didn’t go on a hayride, we came across a cool wagon which worked nicely for a few photos. I love their DYI save the date pumpkins which they stenciled by hand and will be using for their Save the Date Cards which they will soon be sending out for their wedding. Just before closing the farm cleared out and we were able get some quick photos of the empty farm. They wore matching red and black flannel shirts, jeans and boots – the perfect outfit for a Fall engagement session! Hellerick’s Family Farm has a great rural vibe and was definitely worth the trip.
It was wonderful to meet Nicole and Shawn and spend the evening with then exploring the farm together. I have some favorite locations to do engagement sessions in Philadelphia, but I always welcome the oportunity to go someplace I have never been before. Nicole and Shawn will be getting married next Summer in the Poconos. They selected a rustic wedding venue with a beautiful barn reception at Memorytown USA. I can’t wait to be a part of their big day!
