This Fox Barn at Twenty9 wedding was such a sweet celebration in Malvern Pennsylvania. The venue has a balance of natural charm and modern convenience and effortlessly merges sophistication and ease for a wonderful wedding day. I love that the bride and groom were able to get ready right on the premises. They had their ceremony in the lovely outside space and then could walk right over to the reception barn for cocktail hour and dinner. This made it convenient and enjoyable for the couple and their guests.
What truly pretty bridal shoes! I love the lacy blue shoes this bride wore for her wedding day. The elegant ribbons and beaded details really make it a standout shoe worthy of walking down the aisle in. The perfect “something blue” addition to her stunning wedding day look.
The bridal suite at Fox Barn at Twenty9 was spacious and there was plenty of natural light streaming through the windows. As a wedding photographer, I love natural light while getting ready. The bride had plenty of room for hair and makeup to be done and a peaceful space to step into her wedding dress and get ready to walk down the aisle. Having a peaceful space for this part of the day, can really help settle the nerves and give a foundation of ease to get the day started off right.
The bride and groom had their first look and wedding photos in the bridal suite because it offered a pretty and private space for this moment. The farmhouse has other lovely rooms too and we were able to go through the house and enjoy the various spaces while not being seen by guests arriving.
It was a bright sunshiny fall wedding day and the bride and groom chose to have their wedding ceremony outside on the grassy lawn beside the farmhouse. I appreciate that they have a brick walkway leading down the aisle and up to the alter making it easy for high heels and long trains to make their way to the ceremony space. For those who like the idea of saying your vows outside, this venue offers a wonderful area for just that. The tranquil, tucked-away space has natural greenery and also allows for you to customize it with your own touches to decorate the altar or line the aisle. The foliage on the trees was just turning color and offered some pretty reds and yellows on their wedding day.
The outside grounds at Fox Barn at Twenty9 has some really great spaces for couples’ photos on their wedding day. From the greenery and trees to the farmhouse and barn, there are plenty of locations right on the property for photos. After the ceremony, we snuck outside to get a few more couples photos since the sun was lower in the sky and offered pretty light that we just couldn’t pass up. Sometimes giving up just 5 or ten minutes of the cocktail for couples photos is so worth it!
The reception space at Fox Barn was perfect for their day. The exposed beams, lovely wooden floors, high ceilings and cool wheel-shaped chandeliers created a welcoming ambiance to host a celebration. I love the tablescapes with candles and flowers creating warmth and beauty for their dinner. They even had a floral backdrop that guests could take photos in front of throughout their reception.
Once the guests were inside and seated, it was time for the couple to make their grand entrance. Everyone cheered as they entered and once announced in, they took to the dancefloor and had an emotional first dance together in front of their friends and family, setting the tone for the rest of the night. Wedding days can be such a whirlwind and they do indeed fly by. The first dance can offer the bride and groom time to really soak in the moment and bask in the love of all of those who traveled from near and far to celebrate them.
The bride and groom headed over to the wedding cake to have their ceremonial cake cutting and they fed each other cake in a playful and sweet gesture to kick off their wedding reception. After that, it was speeches and blessings and of course food, fun and dancing.
Thank you to this couple for the kind words and glowing review for wedding photography!
“Both my husband and I hate taking pictures but we really wanted to capture our special moment. I contacted a couple of photographers, but Heidi captured our attention due to the questions she asked and how she appeared to be organized. She gave us ideas of local venues. She shared her ideas but respected our decisions. On the day of our wedding, she arrived on time, our day started off chaotic but she was so patient, professional, kind, and supportive and made our day feel at ease. The pictures she captured were stunning, mesmerizing and beautiful… I am still in awe. I am also shocked at some of the moments that she captured that I was not aware of. My husband, myself, family and friends love all the photos.”
Finding the Pennsylvania wedding venue that is just right for you can feel overwhelming. Going in person to check out venues will give you the best sense of if the venue is right for you. Short of traveling there, having a look online at other weddings can really you narrow down which venues you want to go visit.
