This Philadelphia Museum of Art Engagement session had been planned for a while. Victoria and Christian drove an hour and a half to Philadelphia for their session. We were a little nervous because the sky was ominous and had been bursting open into summer rain showers on and off all day. But, we decided to move forward and take our chances with the weather. Somehow we got lucky and were able to escape getting wet! The Philadelphia Museum of Art is an iconic and beautiful location for photos. We started on the front steps and worked our way around the back. There are so many different places to shoot with this stunning backdrop. The Rocky steps of course and the beautiful columns.
From the top of the steps, you get a gorgeous vantage point right down the parkway and overlooking the city. It is one of the best places Philadelphia to get a skyline view.
The back of the Art Museum is less crowded and still very lovely. When you round the corner, you are no longer in the city and instead entering a lush green park and a path along the river. This is another reason that The Philadelphia Museum of Art an ideal location for an engagement session. You can have different looks right around the corner from each other. You can stroll along the Schuylkill River and Boathouse Row over looking Waterworks. Behind the Museum you also get view of the skyline.
Such a lovely afternoon with Victoria and Christian celebrating their engagement! I left their photo session inspired by their love for each other! They’re so excited for their engagement. They are sweet, fun, and totally in love!
