This Valley Green Inn Wedding nestled in The Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia, PA was a true delight! The Inn is beautiful and quaint and perfectly situated along the bank of the river. I can not think of a more soothing place to be married than here, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Christina and Andrew got ready at close by  The Chestnut Hill Hotel in Chestnut Hill, PA. They headed over to their venue for their first look in the woods! The weather was in our favor and the sunlight and light breeze made it an ideal day for outside wedding portraits on the forest trails, on bridges, and along the river. They had an outside ceremony along the river and were married by Andrew’s godmother. Their cocktail hour was outside and their reception was on the inn’s tented patio. The full moon glowed brightly over their reception and we just had to step outside for a quick night shot under the light of the moon. This woodsy wonderland is ideal for nature lovers!

When I asked the bride Christina how these two met, here was her reply:

 Andrew and I were introduced by our respective college friends who were dating at the time (and now married), Beth and Ari. They are our best man and maid of honor. Beth thought we would get along well because we both love to read and were always talking about books, ha! Starting a relationship was easy, we have very similar sensibilities. Andrew proposed with his grandmother’s ring at the beach in LBI. His cousins have lived there year-round since the 1950s (and his mom now has a house there, too) and that is where he spends most holidays, so it was a special place for him to ask me to join his family.
