This rooftop proposal at The W Hotel Philadelphia had stunning skyline views of Philadelphia! While there is no shortage of beautiful places to get engaged in Philadelphia, the W Hotel has some standout features that make it extra special. One of the questions I get often is “Where is a private location in Philadelphia to get engaged?”. Some people prefer not to be in public for this special moment and to truly have it be just between the two of them. This proposal was so sweet. He even had lovely flowers set up to create a special backdrop for the down on one knee moment. As they walked onto the Terrace on the warm summer evening and strolled to the edge of the rooftop, the excitement was in the air. They had a sweet exchange while looking out on the sweeping city views and then he got down on one knee and asked, “Will you marry me?”. I heard a heartfelt and excited “Yes!” and then it was tears and hugs as they enjoyed this life-changing moment together. This is what it’s all about! Within moments, a cold bottle of champagne was delivered and the two of them popped the bottle open and enjoyed a glass of bubbly on the rooftop to celebrate the moment while still teary-eyed. You can’t get much better than having a toast on a rooftop terrace after getting engaged.
Family Joined to Celebrate the Couple
After they enjoyed their sips, we spent some time taking couples photos on the rooftop. With that view, it was an especially fun photo session and we where able to get some dreamy portraits with the dramatic views of the Philadelphia cityscape. They picked a perfect time of day for photos, early evening, and the lighting was lovely for engagement photos. We took formal portraits and playful, fun and natural photos to showcase their love and for them to always remember this moment. As we continued to take photos, both of their parents and siblings suddenly joined them on the terrace! It was a delightful surprise that added more emotion, love, and excitement to their engagement. We then took some family photos in all the different combinations. It was wonderful to feel all the joy from the family surrounding them in this moment.
