This Di Bruno Bros Alimentari Wedding in Philadelphia got me excited! As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, when I get asked to photograph an intimate and unique wedding in the city, I can’t wait until the wedding day! With getting ready photos right in their South Philly home, couple’s photos in Rittenhouse Square Park, and then the ceremony and reception upstairs at Di Bruno Bros, their day unfolded beautifully.
This couple decided to get ready in their South Philly home. It was the perfect choice for them since they were able to take some photos with their much-loved two pups before heading off to their ceremony. I will always support choosing locations that allow you to include important moments. The bride’s family joined her at their home and helped her with her finishing touches. This bride and groom decided to get ready together. Although it may be considered a little non-traditional, it was a perfect choice for them. They had some sweet and loving moments together, helping each other. Honestly, the getting ready part of the day can be one of the most stressful because there is so much anticipation and excitement, and I could see that the two of them being able to see each other and do it together brought calm and ease, and sweetness to this part of the day.

After the bride and groom were all dressed and ready to go, it was off to Rittenhouse Square Park. This classic Philadelphia location is popular for wedding photos. As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, it is such a fun and dynamic place to take photos of the bride and groom. The greenery, walkways, and brownstones give this area a special appeal on a wedding day. Of course, convenience is another big reason this Philadelphia wedding photo location can rise to the top of my list. On a wedding day, time is of the essence, and so choosing locations that are convient makes the entire day smoother and more enjoyable. They were able to create a stress-free timeline and by staying local and making time for the parts of the day that were most important to them. Since their ceremony and reception were at the Di Bruno Bros just a few blocks away, it made sense to do their family photos and couple’s photos in the park. Luckily, they had great weather for their summer wedding!

Did you know that upstairs at Di Bruno Bros., 1700 Chestnut Street location, there is an event space that can be rented out for small parties, events, and weddings? Alimentari at Di Bruno Bros. of Rittenhouse Square is the name of the wonderful venue. I loved the ceremony area, and just in the next room was a long table set up for a family-style wedding reception, making it an ideal small Philadelphia wedding venue. If you are looking for a chic and cozy wedding, this is a location to consider. Di Bruno Bros. is known for its modern Italian-inspired dining experience, and they offered the guests tasty refreshments for cocktail hour, including a charcuterie board of gourmet meats and cheese and a bountiful buffet for dinner. If you were like me and thought of Di Brunos as a delicious gourmet market, well, now I know it’s that and so much more! Founded in 1939, Di Brumo Bros featured cheese and specialty foods and has become a Philly Staple. They have now expanded to multiple locations across the city. Alimentari offers a wedding space that is elegant yet still relaxed, and it was a wonderful match for this stylish and warm couple. After having the opportunity to photograph this wedding celebration, here are the top 3 takeaways for what I liked most about Alimentari at Di Bruno Bros. of Rittenhouse Square
1. The Space – Stylish yet welcoming and intimate
2. The Location – Just a few blocks from Rittenhouse Park and close to hotels makes it convenient for the guests and for the wedding couple
3. Family-Style Dining – You can set up the space to have one long table to create an atmosphere that feels like more of a family celebration and less of a traditional banquet
