“Unfortunately, our original venue canceled our event twice due to COVID-19. There were too many uncertainties due to the pandemic, so we didn’t look for a venue until mid-April of this year and the Radnor Hotel came to the rescue! We fell in love with the Radnor Hotel after the first visit. The outdoor garden and ballroom are beautiful spaces and fit our taste. The wedding coordinator was very accomodating and enthused from the start, which made our decision even easier.”
Radnor Hotel offers the unique opportunity for couples to get ready, have their ceremony and reception all in the same location. It is so nice to have lovely space and for each part of the day!
Daritza decided to include a special moment with her dad before the wedding ceremony where he saw her for the first time in her wedding dress. It was an incredibly touching moment and before her dad walked her down the aisle.
The Radnor Hotel has a wonderful outside ceremony space tucked away behind the hotel. I love the lush garden and brick patio and the convience of it being right outside the ballroom!
“We both attended a college party celebrating Siete de Mayo, a post-Cinco de Mayo party back in 2011. I noticed Daritza from across the room and was instantly attracted, but I was too shy to approach her. Daritza had also noticed me and asked one of the hosts to help with our introduction. Daritza and her friend began scheming a plan on how to break the ice and introduce themselves to me. At one point in the party, Daritza’s friend walked over to my group of friends and began doing tricep dips in front of us. My friends and I couldn’t help laugh and think of how bizarre this was. That is when Daritza came over and began apologizing for her friend’s behavior and introduced herself to us. By the end of the night, I walked Daritza home, we exchanged numbers, and here we are, 10 years later.”
“The proposal was in 2019. We took a family trip to Spain to visit where my grandparents were from. I wanted to find a special setting to propose and figured this trip could be a good occasion. While we were visiting Playa de Las Catedrales I asked my sister to take a photo of us and surprised Daritza by getting down on one knee and proposing at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.”
“The process can be very overwhelming, however, you are not the first to take on this task. Ask others who have gone through the process what they enjoyed, what was “worth it”, what they could’ve done without, what things would they change, etc. Also, enjoy the little moments like the drives up to the potential venues or the tastings with family. They end up adding to the fun of planning. We also learned that at the end of the day, do what makes you happy and don’t settle. Although there are many considerations to make, your wedding is your special day and as such, you should plan your wedding around what will make it most enjoyable.”
