Racquet Club of Philadelphia Wedding – Philadelphia PA

This Racquet Club of Philadelphia Wedding was wonderful blend of style, sophistication and celebration. The venue has a timeless feel with a majestic grand staircase, marble floors and high ceilings. It proved to be a stunning backdrop for Ceren and Derek’s Wedding. Ceren’s look mirrored the beauty and elegance of the venue with her custom wedding dress and flowing veil.

Introduced through mutual acquaintances while living in Philadelphia, Derek and Ceren began dating in January of 2015. At the time, Ceren was pursuing her Master’s degree at St. Joseph’s University, while Derek was working and living in Center City Philadelphia. When they met, Ceren was unsure about whether she would remain in the U.S. following the completion of her degree or return home to Turkey, and Derek was a little over a year and a half into his second job out of college. On their first date, they quickly realized that they have a genuine connection, and became a couple shortly thereafter.

They both had the sense early on that they had found something special, and as their relationship progressed over the following two years that feeling was confirmed. Together they have faced challenges and supported each other as they have worked to start building a life together. They’ve worked together as Ceren has completed her education and navigated tedious and complex process of securing permanent resident status in the U.S. Additionally, in June 2016 Derek started a new job that required them to move from Philadelphia to Los Angeles, and required Derek to pass a number of new licensing exams. Through all of these challenges they continued to support each other and grow closer, helping to bring out the best in each other. As a result, they came to realize they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, and were engaged to be married in late 2016.

Because of Derek’s family roots on the East Coast and their history in the City, Derek and Ceren decided to have their wedding in Philadelphia; and while they visited a hand-full of other venues in early 2017, ultimately the elegance and tradition of the Racquet Club of Philadelphia made it their ideal wedding venue.
