This Morocco yoga retreat was truly an adventure of a lifetime! I had the pleasure of documenting the transformational journey Into the Mystic Yoga Retreat in Morocco with Aluna Adventures. The wonderful yogis on the trip were called from far and wide to travel together and explore the beautiful world we live in. They connected with others across the globe and just as importantly journeyed deep within themselves. Travel is such a beautiful and life-changing experience. I love to travel for some of the same reasons I love photography. Both when you travel and when you photograph, you are awake and alert, the everyday suddenly becomes extraordinary. It offers a refreshing shift in perspective and a renewed appreciation. Everything feels brand new! It revives a sense of wonder excitement and momentum. It reminds us that it is the journey that holds the value. It was my first time to the desert and what a breathtaking place. It was as if I was going to the ocean for the first time, or seeing my first mountain or snowfall. Such a powerful element, holding very special energy and wonderful people. We sang and practiced yoga around the campfire and of course, sipped traditional Moroccan mint tea. We ventured into the desert by camel and visited Erg Chebbi dunes. We also spend time at the peaceful Quaryati EcoLounge while visiting Marrakech. This lovely getaway offers a tranquil space with a refreshing pool and beautiful peacocks roaming the property. While in Marrakech, we explored the Jemaa el-Fnaa, which is a large bustling marketplace. You can get lost in the maze of merchants and booths and find all kinds of amazing treasures! I encourage all those curious to visit Aluna Adventures and learn what new adventures are on the horizon. Be on the lookout for the next Morocco yoga retreat!
