New Hope Pa is a charming town right along the Delaware River in Bucks County. It is a destination that is full of shops, natural beauty, and of course home to the stand-out restaurant, Stella. Stella is perfectly situated with waterfront views, in fact, they even have doors that can open up right to the promenade overlooking river. For their cocktail hour, this couple had those doors open and guests could mix and mingle inside or outside gazing across the river. It is not often that you are treated to that kind of view.
Couples Wedding Photos at Stella in New Hope
The event staff at Stella told me about the amazing hidden spot that I would never have known about(Thank you Stella team!). Just down the walkway from the restaurant, there is this cool location for wedding photos. With the water cascading in the background and the trees and bridge framing the couple, what a beautiful and unexpected view! Then we headed back up to the riverside for more photos along the water. The fall foliage was peeking through and that is one of the reasons many couples choose fall for their wedding, the foliage and the cooler weather. New Hope is a popular destination for “leaf peepers” and I can see why!
Inside Stella Restaurant
Stella is a bi-level restaurant with event space both downstairs and upstairs. For this wedding celebration, the couple used both spaces, downstairs for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and upstairs for their seated dinner. I liked the varied locations it created a nice movement and flow for their wedding celebration.
Cocktail Hour
There was an abundant spread of cocktail hour treats at this Stella wedding. With charcuterie boards of tantalizing meats and cheeses, passed hors d’oeuvres and delicious stations. The food is definitely a highlight of any Stella wedding!

How fun is this indoor/outdoor space on a wedding day? The weather was just perfect to fling open the doors and enjoy the sunshine and pretty views. This special feature made their day even more memorable.
Wedding Dinner at Stella
After heartfelt toasts to the bride and groom that left the guests laughing and entertained, it was time to eat! The delicious dinner was served family style and included beautifully prepared Salmon, chicken and pasta. The chef at Stella is inspired by fresh and local ingredients and you can taste it! Once everyone had their fill, it was time to hit the dance floor.
Wedding Dessert
An indulgent selection of desserts was served for guests including chocolate, vanilla, and carrot cake cupcakes. As much as I love cake, I also appreciate when couples choose to opt for something a little more non-traditional like cupcakes. For favors, they gave their guests handmade chocolates. Edible favors are always a hit!
