This Wissahickon Park engagement session in Philadelphia Pa was the perfect location for a fall photo session. If you haven’t had the chance to explore the woods here, I highly recommend you do! It can be so refreshing to escape the city to bask in nature. The Wissahickon Park is a wonderful place for just that. Walking along Forbidden Drive is so peaceful with the sun peeking playfully through the trees. The bridge was a fun location to start, although it did shake a little when a bicyclist zoomed by!
We keep on walking down the wide path of Forbidden Drive and discover more pretty places for photos. We made our way down to the water’s edge and Jessica and John sat by the creek. The water was speckled with leaves that had fallen and they were surrounded by a canopy of trees from the majestic forest. We found the trails fairly quiet and even saw some fish swimming about in the water.
This big log is a favorite place to sit. It seems to call out to passersby and beckon them to come to sit down and many, I think, head this call, climbing atop this welcoming seat. The giant tree fell in just the right way to create a natural bench, perfect for gazing at the water and stealing a few kisses from your sweetheart! We had such a delightful time taking photos and exploring the riverbank.
The Wissahickon Park is one of the best locations to be in nature in the Philadelphia. There are pull-offs all throughout the park. It’s easy to access, but feels so far away from the buzz of the city. Are you a nature-lover looking for a great place to explore or perhaps to take your engagement photos?
